MAReSOL, the exciting new addition to the V&A Waterfront is a friendly yet sophisticated 200 seater Portuguese restaurant. Located in the old Hildebrand building at the Pierhead, MAReSOL boasts breath-taking harbour & mountain views. MAReSOL is unmistakably a fine dining experience in every respect from the service to the food quality & presentation. There is no shortage of much loved Portuguese flavours to be enjoyed with a glass of Vinho Tinto. Sharing is encouraged by our waiters: choose from our large variety of starters to create platters for the table to share. Starters include Figados de Galinha (mind blowing chicken livers with onion & PiriPiri), Chouriço (with roasted peppers marinated with a garlic, thyme & sherry vinegar), Lulas (calamari with Chouriço, roasted cherry tomato, black olives & rocket), Prawn & Bacon (prawns wrapped in bacon with a black fig, honey, apple & almond sauce). Main menu dishes include old favourites like free range PiriPiri Whole Baby Chicken, spicy Trinchando, Espetada & Bacalhau. It will also include a heavy dose of shellfish like langoustines & prawns. Desserts will feature authentic Portuguese delicacies like Pastéis de Nata (Portuguese Pastry Tart) & Tarte de Amendoa (Almond Tart).
The building has been architecturally designed by the esteemed Wollf Architects, reflecting the beauty of its surroundings. Careful attention has placed on ensuring that no matter where in the restaurant you are, you will always have magnificent harbour & mountain views.
